Directions: From the Beltway (I-495) Take the exit for the George Washington Parkway off of the west side of the beltway (I-495) just south of the Potomac River. (If coming from Maryland, this will be the first exit upon crossing the Potomac). Take the George Washington Parkway several miles in towards Washington D.C. and get off at the exit for 123 North. Follow 123 down a steep hill until it dead-ends into Route. 120. Take a right on Route 120 and follow it up a steep hill. Near top of hill, take right exit for Military Road. Follow signs to get on Military Road, you will take a cloverleaf up and over Route 120 and then take a left turn to get on Military Road. Go 1.3 miles and take left on Marcey Road. Go to the end of Marcey Road (past tennis courts) to the Potomac Overlook parking lot. It is a short walk to the Nature Center and picnic pavilion down the path.

Sunday, 26 February 3:30-5:00pm The Gnostic Mass (Liber XV) is a ritual celebrating the union of the divine male and female through the pageantry of the lance and the cup. The ceremony culminates in a sacrament of a cake and wine consumed by the participants in the congregation. The ritual is graceful, joyful and a high dramatic ritual rich in esoteric and ecclesiastical overtones. The ritual officers consist of a priestess, priest, deacon and two "children" representing the positive and negative polarities. The Gnostic Mass is the central ritual of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O., or the Order of Oriental Templars) and was written in 1913 by Aleister Crowley. Water is available for those who choose not to drink alcohol. Please notify us in advance if bringing anyone under 18 (but they are certainly welcome). Read the ceremony. Directions: From the Beltway (I-495) Take the exit for the George Washington Parkway off of the west side of the beltway (I-495) just south of the Potomac River. (If coming from Maryland, this will be the first exit upon crossing the Potomac). Take the George Washington Parkway several miles in towards Washington D.C. and get off at the exit for 123 North. Follow 123 down a steep hill until it dead-ends into Route. 120. Take a right on Route 120 and follow it up a steep hill. Near top of hill, take right exit for Military Road. Follow signs to get on Military Road, you will take a cloverleaf up and over Route 120 and then take a left turn to get on Military Road. Go 1.3 miles and take left on Marcey Road. Go to the end of Marcey Road (past tennis courts) to the Potomac Overlook parking lot. It is a short walk to the Nature Center and picnic pavilion down the path.

 Friday, January 13, 2012: Join us for a hip, swamp rock Gnostic Mass set to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Doors open at 8:00 pm. The Mass will begin at 8:30 pm. $10 admission from non-members.
 The Gnostic Mass (Liber XV) is a ritual celebrating the union of the divine male and female through the pageantry of the lance and the cup. The ceremony culminates in a sacrament of a cake and wine consumed by the participants in the congregation. The ritual is graceful, joyful and a high dramatic ritual rich in esoteric and ecclesiastical overtones. The ritual officers consist of a priestess, priest, deacon and two "children" representing the positive and negative polarities. The Gnostic Mass is the central ritual of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O., or the Order of Oriental Templars) and was written in 1913 by Aleister Crowley. Water is available for those who choose not to drink alcohol. Please notify us in advance if bringing anyone under 18 to this ceremony (but they are certainly welcome).
