Has it really been 20 years? William Blake Lodge has been operating non-stop since 1992 and is still going strong. Originally hosted in 2012 for the O.T.O. 100-year anniversary and the William Blake Lodge 20-year anniversary, this themed fundraiser party is based loosely on William Blake's famous work The Marriage of Heaven & Hell. Enjoy great food and themed drinks set in the polar opposites of the afterlife (well, according to some) as you visit God, Satan, angels and demons for PG-13 hijinks and fun. If it is your will, dress in costume as an angel, a demon, or perhaps a Gnostic Saint. Donation bar; you will be carded for alcoholic beverages.
$10 - WBL member admission
$20 - Non-member admission
Children are free!

Sunday of Gnosis at William Blake Lodge! [Mar. 15th, 2013|05:59 pm]
William Blake OTO

sjo
Sun. Mar. 17, 2013: Gnostic Mass (Open)
1:00pm; doors open at 12:30pm
$10 admission; free for dues-current members
Mass Team: Br. Justin, Tau Asteria, TBA, Sr. Vala, TBA
The Gnostic Mass (Liber XV) is a ritual celebrating the union of the divine male and female through the pageantry of the lance and the cup. The ceremony culminates in a sacrament of a cake and wine consumed by the participants in the congregation. The ritual is graceful, joyful and a high dramatic ritual rich in esoteric and ecclesiastical overtones. The ritual officers consist of a priestess, priest, deacon and two "children" representing the positive and negative polarities. The Gnostic Mass is the central ritual of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O., or the Order of Oriental Templars) and was written in 1913 by Aleister Crowley. Water is available for those who choose not to drink alcohol. Please notify us in advance if bringing anyone under 18 to this ceremony (but they are certainly welcome) . Read the ceremony: http://www.hermetic.com/sabazius/gnostic_mass.htm. See the video Impressions of a Gnostic Mass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZgaayakZ5k

Sun. Mar. 17, 2013: Lodge Meeting (Open)
3:00pm-6:00pm; doors open at 2:30pm
Join us in planning upcoming Lodge activities. The meeting will open with either a Minerval-style opening, banishing ritual, or a reading from The Holy Books of Thelema. During the meeting we discuss scheduling initiations, Gnostic Mass teams and other EGC activities (baptisms, confirmations, clergy training), classes and other education, rituals and celebrations, social events, and overall Lodge programming. What do you want to see William Blake Lodge offer? Intense rituals? Guest speakers? A class on a particular topic? Weekday events? What perks you up to participate? Please share your input into Lodge development. Please bring a lunch dish or snacks to share!

Sun. Mar. 17, 2013: Spring Equinox Ritual (Open)
